Often caring for your self means recognizing that there are other individuals in the planet who are also there to care for you.
That realization is the cornerstone of a Doodle developed by substantial schooler Sophie Araque-Liu. Google introduced Tuesday that her Doodle, titled Not On your own, is the winner of the 2022 Doodle for Google opposition, an annual contest open up to faculty children across the US. This year’s concept was “I care for myself by…”
Alongside with artwork, contestants were requested to submit a temporary description of their concept in their possess words and phrases. This is how the Florida large university student discussed how she cares for herself:
“I treatment for myself by accepting others’ care for me. Typically, I wrestle to shoulder a stress on my own, and fail to remember that I have so many individuals, like my mom, who treatment about me and want to assist me. Google claimed Sophie’s message of leaning on one’s support process resonated with the contest’s judges and felt it would resonate with many others who have been as a result of rough situations.
In addition to her Doodle staying showcased on Google’s household webpage for a working day, Sophie will receive a $30,000 faculty scholarship, as very well as a $50,000 technological innovation award for her college.
Her Doodle is also included in a gallery of artwork for all the state winners decided on from submissions created by K-12 learners in the US, Guam, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands.
